You will lead and mentor a clinical team of RN’s, AIN’s and EEN’s, as well as service coordinators in a respite accommodation setting for children living with a disability. The role involves;

  • Oversee the day-to-day running and operations of disability respite accommodation including budgeting, transport, and other requirements
  • Lead staff meetings and performance reviews to ensure the team is engaged and providing high-quality services
  • Encourage a high-performing, collaborative team
  • Engage with relevant stakeholders including family members and external services
  • Review individual care plans for participants and ensure staff are up to date on changes and requirements
  • Ensure WHS, risk management, and all other relevant policies and procedures are adhered to within the organisational framework


  • Strong leadership skills – communicating and supporting the organisation’s vision and encouraging high performance
    • 2 years + of leadership experience is essential
  • Experience working in a setting with individuals with complex medical and support needs
    • Experience working directly with children is highly regarded
  • Prior experience working within a clinical team in a disability setting
  • Strong level of communication and ability to delegate appropriate tasks to team members
  • A positive, upbeat attitude and collaborative approach to management
  • A strong understanding of the disability accommodation space, specifically respite and NDIS
  • Registered Nurses with disability and management experience are highly regarded

  • NDIS Workers Screening or ability to acquire
  • Working with Children Check
  • Criminal Record Check, to be carried out by organisation
  • COVID-19 Vaccinations including booster, as per current government mandates for the Disability sector, or a valid medical exemption
